Watch: ‘Todo Sobre Mi Madre’ (‘All About My Mother’)
For Dreaming of: Almodovar’s Barcelona
Movie
There’s a cult following behind Spanish Director Pedro Almodovar’s canon of unusual and provocative films, and this 1999 flix is one of his most notable. Having won an Oscar, Bafta, and numerous other accolades at film festivals worldwide, this drama about a mother in search of her trans-ex following the death of her son, is set entirely in Barcelona.
We like this film for its depiction of one of our favorite cities – and there is a map from which you can trace many of the movie’s most notable settings across Barcelona: https://www.barcelonamovie.com/ruta.aspx?IdRuta=1&culture=en
Available on Max, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.
