Curated Map

Both of Syllogi’s Co-Founders, Erin Washington and Gray Shealy, took their own Scottish road trips at different times, and collaborated with one another to inspire each other’s routes and stays. Ultimately, both experiences were quite different but equally captivating. Erin’s journey is detailed in this Edition’s “On Location” feature, which includes travels in an RV and wild camping. Gray took a slightly different approach: first swinging south from Edinburgh to England’s Lake District (detailed in a forthcoming issue), then northward to Lockerbie (homage to the fated 1988 Pan Am flight), and beyond to the Highlands staying in castles, sampling the finest scotch, and crossing dramatic landscapes of Skye and the Cairngorms.

Both routes and key stops are highlighted on these two maps:

Syllogi’s ‘Travel Research’ publication is an exclusive offering for our members, giving you selected access to our collection of travel projects and guides from our library. As Travel Researchers, this represents highlights from our signature offering to private clients who commission us to provide personalized research for their upcoming travels, and also projects that we have created from our own personal travel. Given the custom nature of each piece, they may skew more family-oriented, or towards a single traveller, or perhaps towards someone who is a foodie, or someone who loves nature. Either way, this intel serves a great guide and overview for anyone travelling to the featured destination.
