There are over 6,000 islands, and 10,000 hotels in Greece – a bounty of experiences to be had, but too much for any one person to possibly scrutinize. We’ve been creating a short list of hotels, boutiques, resorts, and even villas for years – ones that have caught our attention for some reason or another. Our criteria has been simple: slightly off the beaten path (e.g. you won’t find Santorini or Mykonos on this one), a tad romantic, a great sunset, and something that feels truly “Greek.” Pair this with the "Musings" read from this week to figure out which island best matches your personality, and see which hotel that island holds. Whether you’re just going to Athens, or you’re doing a complete tour of many isles, this is a great place to start…and our foundational inspiration for planning the perfect Greek Island trip.
