Tour: Parisian Food the Mexican Way
One of Paris’ best food tours is through the eyes of an immigrant
Paris, France
Silvia Morán Berrout is the “Frenchxican,” or so her tour company is called, and she shares the world of Parisian food the way she discovered it herself. She moved from Mexico to France 16 years ago to pursue graduate studies as an international student, and naturally had a romantic affair with the food. From morning markets, to casual snack shops, and grocery stores, Silvia is a specialist at showing places that are off the beaten path. She’s still relatively undiscovered, surprisingly, and offers private tours at an affordable rate. One of our clients recently went on a multi-hour adventure with her, and the excursion was an absolute highlight of the trip.

Every publication will feature one unique restaurant, hotel, activity, or other travel discovery that stood out in our research. Some of these are established institutions that deserve repeat merit, while others are hidden gems that are often off the radar of most. Our commentary is meant to be brief, summarizing the scale and offerings of a place, as well as the best and worst of relevant reviews found across the web – allowing our clients to quickly discern if this a good fit for them.
