See: Favorite Tango Spots

Buenos Aires, Argentina
If there is one thing on the bucket list for most first timers in Buenos Aires, it's to see a Tango show. Like many places, there are touristy theme parks, and there are authentic performances. Here are four expert recommendations to consider for a proper experience:
Rojo Tango Show - Faena Hotel, Isla Demarchi
Inside the chic and ultra contemporary Faena Hotel, this show's ritzy character follows suit. There's a charming, jewel box theater in the hotel's lower level, where tango is mixed with a dramatic cabaret-meets-burlesque performance. Tickets from 260 usd. Note: the Faena Hotel in Miami also has a great cabaret performance.
El Boliche de Roberto - Almagro
This is a classic bar where locals mingle with tourists and come to listen to live music nightly. Less likely to see an actual dance performance, visitors are entertained with traditional tango music.
Santana Bar - Almagro
Colorful institution with live music. There are nightly tango lessons.
La Catedral Club - Almagro
An Argentinian institution: the city's largest dance hall, offering nightly shows, lessons, drinks and snacks.
