See and Stay: Best Friend’s Animal Sanctuary

An Animal Lover’s Paradise near Zion

See and Stay: Best Friend’s Animal Sanctuary

Kanab, Utah

If you love animals of all sorts, there is no greater place to visit than the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. Ideally located near Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, it makes for the perfect overnight while exploring the parks of the West.

This no-kill animal sanctuary is home to more than 1,600 animals who are lovingly cared for and housed for as long as they need. There are several ways to explore the sanctuary: you can go on a tour to learn more about what they do, you can volunteer for a few hours helping the staff, take a dog on an outing, or you can even host an adoptable pet for a sleepover at your hotel or at their Roadhouse.

The Roadhouse is located just a few miles away from the sanctuary and is owned by the organization. This minimalist hotel takes pet-centric to a whole new level in hospitality, with pets becoming a bigger focus than the human guests. The lodge provides vegan cuisine, a dog park, pet washing stations, and pull out beds just for your (fostered) pets.

40 rooms, from 175 USD per night
