Intel: Text Your Flight Number

The next time you’re preparing for a flight, make the flying experience easier by texting your flight number to yourself or the person awaiting your arrival. On the morning of your flight, simply put the airline plus the flight number to auto-populate a link in your text messages that allows you to track the flight. A map will display and under the map you will find:

• Airline name and flight number
• Flight status
• Terminal and gate numbers (for arrival and departure)
• Arrival and departure time
• Flight duration
• Baggage claim carousel number 

Note: for now, this seems to only work on major US-based carriers (Delta, American, Southwest, United, etc.), and only works with iPhones.
