Intel: Global Entry / Pre-Check Rules for Families
This most coveted travel resource has specific rules for children.

Anyone with Global Entry and TSA Precheck knows that it’s the most valuable travel resource they’ve ever purchased, but it’s important to note some rules when traveling with children.
For TSA PreCheck, children 12 and under may accompany an enrolled parent or guardian in the TSA PreCheck lanes without restriction or having been enrolled. Children aged 13 to 17 must be on the same airline reservation with a TSA PreCheck-eligible parent or guardian.
For Global Entry, however, every child (no matter the age) is required to go through the application process, interview, and be approved in order to skip the passport lines upon arrival into the States. Otherwise, you'll need to accompany your child through the standard lanes in immigration processing.
